I’m two days into HRT and I’m sleeping better than I have in years and can feel the brain fog lifting. I mainly chose this route out of sheer desperation because of migraines. They started In perimenopause. Twice a week for the past seven years!!!!

It didn’t matter how clean my diet was or how much yoga I did to “stay calm”.

I’m on the patch and pill. Fingers crossed it helps. Thank-you for posting this. It helps to feel less alone. 💜✨

HI Shaunte, So glad to read this! Happy for you and thanks for following! Us middle age ladies need to stick together! I had serious ocular migraines too. Had a bad one first day of HRT and none since..... fingers crossed here as well.

I too took those herbs and when my sister asked me what they tasted like, I said, "if trees could poop, they taste like that. Here try some." I never had a hot flash and I didn't take hormones for 17 years. For unrelated reasons I then started taking bio identical compounded hormones. Recently my doctor recommended an endometrial strip biopsy because I am taking them late in life. I was fine and plan to continue taking them, but in a lower dose. It doesn't hurt to get your libido back either.

Wow this is fascinating, Cory. I'm going to have to go back through the details. I'm 62 and have never done any of this. You know the complications of my lifestyle so I just accepted my never-ending exhaustion as a logical by-product of my circumstances. Your explanation has enlightened me and since I'm following up on lovely things like colonoscopies, I'm going to talk to my doctor about HRT as a possibility. Thank you so much for caring for us, your dear readers, by sharing your life experience not as a confessional but as an inspiration.
