A strong core is essential. Why? Because our core is what grounds us - like the foundation of a house. As you likely know, many back issues stem can from a weak core. A good hint that you are not using your core effectively when you exercise is that you often leave your workout with a sore low back!
While it’s common to see people doing “crunches” at the gym, the most effective and crucial core strengthening comes from stabilizing exercises that work on the deep layers of abdominal muscles that directly affect the posture.
The stability ball is one of the most effective tools you can use to build your core. I will show a few pointers in the video on how you can start basic core training using the ball and eventually increase the challenge as you get stronger. While no video will replace one-on-one time with a trainer, this will be a good intro! Stay safe!
