Last week…..
In an effort to get away from watching Netflix at night I started Tom Lake by Ann Patchett. So far, so good.
I finally was able to finish a knitting project. This hat! It’s cool for beginners or someone like me that just wants to finish a project in less than twenty years. (By the way, I’m not sure the pattern reminds you to switch to double pointed needles at the end. So, if you’re a serious beginner, that might be confusing.) I am now starting this shawl which I hope to have finished before I am 70 years old.
Another one-nighter backpacking trip! My new goal is to go backpacking for at least 2-3 nights a month. Here is the amazing backpack I invested in. ( BTW: I usually do second-hand for most everything, but splurged on this for myself as a gift for how hard I work.)
On that note: I scoured Facebook Marketplace and REI Used for more camping stuff for myself and the girls. I found a beautiful “gently used” Deuter backpack for one of my girls as well as a killer North Face rain jacket and Patagonia Nano Puff. SCORE! Thrifting and second hand is a great thing to do for your wallet and the planet.
More CorePower yoga with my 15 year old! We did a hard sculpt class the night we got back from backpacking and I literally thought I would die. I kept pushing through telling myself things like: Are you a 52 year old baby or a bad ass motherfucker? ( I was the latter. Duh!)
My older daughter made these tacos and they were soooo good.
My younger daughter has been making this every week and it’s amazing!
Also: work, of course. All week, every week I’m teaching from my home studio as well as out and about teaching all sorts of sessions. (See photo above of a class doing a warm up before a strength training class in the park.). AND….on that note, I wanted to share a new aspect of my business that I am offering: Virtual Training. This is a very affordable way to work with me and reach your fitness goals no matter where you live! Go here for more info!
I hope you have a beautiful week full of healthy inspiration! Feel free to share some inspiration back at me and maybe I’ll shout it out to other readers next time I do a list! XO
Thank you Cory - It worked - I'm completely inspired💞
