Dear Friends,
Big news. My second single “Amethyst” is here.💜
This time around I am sharing an early release with my Substack fans. YAY!
Amethyst is the title track to my upcoming full-length album.
About the song: One day, after an insanely difficult year, and a long hiatus from songwriting, I picked up my acoustic and this song fell out in a matter of hours. “Amethyst” is about watching someone you love dearly spiral down and… the beautiful and (sometimes challenging) commitment of steadfast and unconditional love.
Producer (and engineer and mixer) Thom Flowers understood from the beginning the importance of this song. We spent several months working on it, taking breaks, letting it rest and then coming back into it again until we felt we had done the song justice. It was a journey and I could not be more proud of this recording.
Stream this early release for free, or donate for a download. All proceeds received go directly to the in- process recording of my upcoming full-length album.
💜 Amethyst (the song) will be live on all streaming platforms on Thursday Nov 13! Follow me on Spotify and/or Apple Music to make sure you can stream and share this very special song right away.
💜 Come experience my journey of making of this special album on Instagram and/or Facebook
A last note: I will be playing at SOhO in SB on Dec 8th with talented SB friends: Summercamp. Zach Madden, Land of Little Rain and Lucinda Lane. Get tix here and join us for this special evening.
