Another interesting week has passed by, chock full of the kind of excitement you would never really wish upon yourself. Still - I took a moment yesterday and counted 5 of the best things in my life and as soon as I counted 5 things, I realized I could go on and on. 10 things! 20 things! Here are some of the things that came rushing into my head. I hope you can take a moment to share your top 5 (or more!) in the comments today!
Here are some of the best things in my life today:
The first 5!
Healthy and beautiful children.
My parents.
My husband.
My lovely, peaceful home.
My own health.
My second 5 were:
My dog vomiting up the dish towel he ate 5 days ago so that I didn’t have to pay anther 3k for a stomach surgery.
The ability to do handstands, cartwheels and run.
Organic cotton sheets that I got at 60% off.
Living in California.
Bedtime.
My third 5:
My friend Linda and my friend Shelly.
Having a dog that has me confused with God (also on my “Worst Things” list.)
Being self-employed.
Clean water, fresh food, dishwasher and other similar luxuries.
Art, words, thoughts and books by others who have been where I am.
I’m looking forward to your top five! X
My five. The 4 people who did not tell me know when I asked them to make Mike's birthday memorable this Sunday. My husband who says I am still his miracle after 54 years. My health. My opportunity to help others with my food knowledge. The way I am generally treated by people who pass through my orbit daily.
Reflecting in this moment my heart is filled with gratitude for everything - the most wonderful family anyone could ever have - wonderful friends - a beautiful home and surroundings - freedom of expression ...... and.....taking a step back - marveling at the whole panorama and realizing that I, somehow, miraculously, am part of this thing we call Life! It makes me want to not waste a moment of it and say "Thank You" to whatever it was that brought me here. What a trip! What a privilege.
